摘　　要：苏州古典园林介绍属于呼唤型应用文本,其目的在于传播古典园林艺术和中国传统文化,激发读者的游兴。通过探讨苏州古典园林介绍的英译原则和策略,对大量素材可以归纳出翻译实践中可采用的具体方法,为今后古典园林翻译的进一步完善提供参考。Suzhou classical garden introduction is a kind of vocative pragmatic text, aiming at spreading ancient Chinese gardening art and traditional culture in the world. This thesis studies the translation standard and strategies in English translation of Suzhou classical garden introduction, and further explores the specific methods that can be employed for achieving an ideal translation of Suzhou classical garden introduction.
