从《六羡歌》英译探语言共性视阈下的茶诗翻译

摘　　要：茶诗是透视古老中华茶文化的一个窗口。唐朝茶圣陆羽为怀念恩师所作的《六羡歌》,字里行间饱浸茶人的清廉高雅、志行圣洁,是颇具代表性的茶诗佳作。英、汉分属关系较远的两个语系。英语结构紧密,低语境形合;汉语组接灵活,高语境意合;英诗关联清晰,讲音步重节奏,汉诗含蓄朦胧,论平仄重韵律;加之茶诗兼有融本土思想、传统文化与茶专门知识为一体的特异性,使其英译颇具难度。但以人类语言和思维上的共性为语际转换基础,经过译者对原文的深层结构及目标语表层语言结构中多个可选项的反复斟酌,各方协调兼顾,"求同",以增加译语文本在目标语读者中的可读性,达到传介茶文化的目的;"存异",以将典籍茶诗的独特修辞与行文方式等艺术魅力再现,提高中国的文化地位。《六羡歌》的翻译过程有望为此提供有益的参考。Tes Poetry could serve to let known to the world profound Chinese tea culture. Six Desires was written by the great Tea Sage Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty to commemorate his mentor. With its elegant configuration, tidy and beautiful form, profound emotion and cultural connotations, the poem is fairly representative of tea poetry. English and Chinese belong to two distant language branches, with the former closely structured, low context-based and hypotactic, while the latter more flexible, high context-based and paratactic. As to the differences in poetry as a special literary genre, English gives priority to cohesion, foot, and rhythm, while Chinese poems stress on subtlety, tones and rhyme. In addition, classic tea poetry merges in itself oriental philosophy, local-specific culture and tea expertise, making translation all the more challenging. However, the universali- ty in human languages and cognitive styles could help pave the access to the tough conversion. So long as the deep structure of the source language and the potentially much more surface choices in the target language can be well pondered, and multi lateral aspects be negotiated the best possible coordination could be achieved. By ＂seeking common ground＂, the version could expect to be appreciated better among target language readers. By ＂preserving what is unique＂, the translation could reveal the special charm in Chinese tea poetry. The process in translating Six Desires is expected to provide relevant reference.
