摘　　要：新加坡南洋理工学院重视按社会需求设置专业,专业设置程序严密,课程设置具有实用性、超前性和技能性特点。这些对于我国高职院校的专业设置和课程建设具有积极的启示和借鉴作用。Singapore Nanyang Polytechnic attaches great importance to offering courses which are able to satisfy the needs of the society. There is a strict procedure to follow to decide whether or not a course should be offered. The courses offered by them are practical, proactive and technical. The technical and vocational institutions in China can learn a lot from them on the professional curriculum development and course development.
