摘　　要：身份认同问题是目前十分重要的研究问题。在美国,身份不仅仅是一个学术研究课题,它还是一个少数族裔非常关心的现实问题。作为美国的少数族裔,美国华裔对身份认同问题十分关注,它也是美国华裔文学的重要主题之一。本文以美国华裔作家李健孙的自传小说《荣誉与责任》为例,分析其中父子两代人的冲突矛盾,以此来说明美国华裔在不同历史时期在异国背景下的身份认同问题。Issue of Identity Affirmation is very important research problem now. In the United States, it is not only an academic problem, but also a practical problem that minority nationalities care for. The Chinese Americans pay much attention to this problem and thus it becames an important topic in the Chinese American literature studies. This paper, by analyzing the conflicts between father and son in Honor and Duty, which is the autobiographical novel of Cus Lee, tries to explain the problem of identity The Chinese Americans are faced with in a foreign country in different history periods.
