摘　　要：利用隐喻这一认知语言学理论,从致使句的原型句式出发,对英汉致使句的扩展进行了分析和探讨,认为隐喻的认知功能与映射功能使它在致使句的扩展中起着重要作用。这一研究为隐喻与致使句的研究开启了新的领域。Started from the prototype of causative sentences, the thesis analyses and discusses the expansion of causative sentences by metaphor, the linguistic principle. It holds that metaphor plays an very important role in the expansion of causative sentences because of its linguistic function and mapping function. This study develops a new field for the study of metaphor and causative sentences.
