摘　　要：现代信息技术的高速发展及其在英语教学中的应用，使得教学理念和教学方法发生了根本性的转变。拥有扎实的英语专业知识和熟练的驾驭语言的能力以及丰富的教学法知识，已不再满足信息时代对高校英语教师的要求。他们应不断加强自身的信息素养，掌握一系列的现代教育技术，才能够顺应形势，成为多媒体网络环境下的合格英语教师。The Rapid development of information technology and its wide application in teaching has brought about great changes in teaching mentality as well as in teaching method. Thus it is far from enough for English teachers of higher learning institutions to be equipped with solid professional knowledge, excellent language competence and ample teaehing methodology. They must constantly enhance their information attainments and master series of modem teaching technology so as to adapt themselves to the new MCALL teaching circumstance.
