摘  要:实用主义教育家杜威的教育思想中的一个核心内容是"做中学"。"从做中学"也就是"从活动中学",从经验中学,使得学校里的知识获得与生活过程的活动联系起来。杜威同时认为,好的教学必须能唤起学生的思维。任务型教学主张用英语进行思维与交际,在真实情景中用英语学习,是改变"坐中学"为"做中学"的最佳途径,从而使学生成为课堂的主人。One of the c.ores of Dewey' s Pragmatic theory of education is "Learning by doing". "Learning through doing" also means "Learning from activities", or rather, learning form experience, which associates the knowledge to be gained in school with activities in daily life. He also holds the idea that good teaching should arouse students' thoughts. Task -based language teaching lays great emphasis on thinking and communicating in English. Learning English in real situation is one of the best way to change from "Learning by sitting" to "Learning by doing".
