论五大英语学习词典中的不足及其对英汉学习词典的编纂启示  

On the shortcomings of the five English-English learner's dictionaries and the enlightenment on the compilation of English-Chinese learner's dictionaries

摘　　要：影响广泛的五大英语学习词典虽然在英语学习与推广中功不可没,但还是存在着一些不足,如缺乏足够的语法信息,语用方面的信息明显不足,词汇信息缺乏,英美音标标注不全等。这些不足对英汉学习词典的编纂很有启示:一是应当对英英学习词典进行全面、系统、多角度的分析;二是取长补短的同时要侧重解决国人学用英语的重点、难点、疑点与盲点。Though the five English-English learner＇s dictionaries play an important role in Englsh learning and promotion, there are some shortcomings such as the lack of grammartical information, semantic information, lexical information and British and American tran- scription marking. These shortcomings give us the following enlightenments, one is we should analyze English-English dictionaries in comprehensive, systematic and multi-angle way, the other is while drawing the strong points of English-English dictionaries to offset weakness of English-Chinese learner~ dictionaries, we should attach importance to the key and difficult points, doubtful and blind spots in the English learning process of Chinese.
