Influenced by Kant's advocation of aimless aesthetic appreciation, the fairy tales in 19th century focus more on aesthetic pleasures compared with those moral traditional instructive fairy tales. As a representative of aestheticism, Wilde originally guides his creation with aesthetic values. However, his creation shifts from aesthetic pleasures to physiological pleasures under the great circumstances of a consumption society. Judging from the images of characters, description of details and linguistic style, his inclination of sensuality is easily identified.
