摘　　要：在高等教育生源市场同样竞争激烈的美国,一所营利性高等教育办学机构——凤凰城大学(University of Phoenix,简称UOP)显现出卓绝的生命力。短短32年的办学历史中,从最初一个仅有8名在职成人的培训班,发展到现在拥有30多万名注册学生的世界巨型大学,引起了教育界对其办学模式的普遍关注。凤凰城大学不仅实现了很高的社会价值,还创造了可观的经济效益。A for-profit higher education institution, the University of Phoenix, has shown its great vital force in America whose higher education market competition has also been tense. During the thirty two years development,the University of Phoenix expands from an adult training class with eight students to a multiversity in the today＇s world with three hundred thousand students,whose running model has arisen globally attention. The University of Phoenix not only realizes higher social value, but also creates considerable economic benefit.
