摘　　要：吴宓是中国比较文学研究奠基人、著名文学评论家、教育家和诗人。纵观二十世纪中国文化史,吴宓无疑是思想上特立独行之人。拥有西学背景的他大力倡导的"文教中华"和"通才教育",极力主张中西会通的翻译观,这些教育思想在其长期的大学教学实践及其所培养的优秀人才等方面都得到了实证检验,在当代高等教育语境里同样有着借鉴意义。Wu Mi was the founder of Chinese comparative literature research,a famous literature critic,educator and poet.Looking over the 20th century Chinese cultural history,it may be found out Wu Mi was no doubt individualistic in his thoughts.With a western learning background,he advocated immensely such education thoughts as ＂liberal China＂ and ＂liberal education＂.He also urged vigorously integrated translation concept in Chinese-western translation.All these thoughts have received the real diagnosis examination through his long-term university teaching practice as well as the outstanding students he fostered.And it is also of model significance in the context of higher education of modern times.
