摘  要:英语语法多媒体教学作为现代技术在教学领域的应用有别于传统的英语语法教学。实践社群理论为认识英语语法多媒体教学的本质和特征提供了独特而有用的视角。基于实践社群理论的研究表明,多媒体的介入不仅仅是技术的使用,它改变了课堂教学中教师与学生以及学生与学生之间的关系,它使得学习这一社会性活动具备了新的特征。本文从实践社群理论的核心思想出发,探讨了其对多媒体教学的启示,并以虚拟式的教学为例,探讨了该理论对于实施英语语法多媒体教学的启示。Teaching English grammar via multi-media is a case showing the application of modem technology to teaching. It strikes a sharp difference to the conventional English grammar teaching. The theory of Communities of Practice sheds a special yet useful perspective from which one can understand the essence and features of multi-media English grammar teaching. Studies based on the theory show that the participation of multi-media in classroom teaching is much more than the utilization of the technology. It alters the relationship between the teacher and the students and between one student and another. It also endows learning - a social activity - new features. In the light of the core ideas of the theory of Communities of Practice, this article aims to study its implications to multi-media teaching. It also discusses, taking the teaching of subjunctive mood as an example, the theory's implications to multi-media English grammar teaching.
