摘　　要：翻译时采用何种主位推进模式由英语和汉语语篇的主位特征和主位推进模式的相同性和差异性决定。英译时,汉语话题主位应转变为译入语的主语,形成SV提挈主轴。英汉语在句子基本主干的表意逻辑和语序上的相同性决定在没有语言差异或者能够予以克服的前提下保留原语主位推进模式的原则,而语言和民族认知过程的差异决定在更多情况下需要结构重组,重新选择主位推进模式。翻译说明文(概念说明、叙述和描写)类别的语篇单位时应该主要选择连续型的模式;议论文翻译宜用延续型、派生型和框架型模式。This paper is intended for showing that there are some areas where text linguistics can work fruitfully in making itself a part integral to translation studies. For that purpose the paper looks into the difference of theme in translation and the TP patterns, characteristically some types of texts, which remain the same or see some changes in translation, the result being that, with the help of the investigation and the examples cited, the paper may have proved that text linguistics is instrumental in some areas concerning translation studies.
