摘　　要：小说《西游记》是在特定的宗教环境和特定的写作意图中产生出来的长篇小说。它诞生于元代,实为元代全真教道士所写,是我国文学史上一部由道士写成的长篇小说,而非学界所说的吴承恩所作,小说也与丘处机本人无关。Journey to the West was a saga novel written in a particular religious background and particular creative intention. It was written in Yuan Dynasty and it was turned out to be a saga novel written by a Taoist in the literature history of China. It was not written by Wu Chen-en as the scholars said, also, it has nothing concerned with Qiu Chu-ji.
