得意忘形 求同存异——读许渊冲译《汉英对照唐诗三百首》兼谈韵体译诗优势

摘　　要：《汉英对照唐诗三百首》是翻译家许渊冲的又一力作,代表了中外翻译界在唐诗翻译上的最新成就。该译本不仅特色鲜明,而且较散体翻译方法有更大优势。该译本的特点可以概括为三个字:准、创、整,即用词确切、精当;创造性地处理原语跟译语的矛盾以及形式上的整飭,并从诗歌欣赏的角度提出韵体翻译较其他译法有明显的优势,即不仅给英语读者以审美期待,又对译者提出更高的要求。Bilingual Edition 300 Tang Poems, one of Xu Yuanzhong＇s translation works, represents the highest level in the translation of Tang poems for both domestic and international. The author believes that accuracy, flexibility and unity are three characteristics of this translation work, i.e. , proper words, precise comprehension and consistence of form and content. A creative way is also used in the book to deal with the contradiction between the original language and the translation one. Moreover, the rhyme-oriented translation style has an obvious advantage than the other translation methods. That is, it can give more aesthetic satisfaction to English readers as well as more requirements to translators.
