论西方大学精英教育模式的形成——对精英培养制度和人文传统的探析

摘　　要：以法国巴黎大学、英国剑桥大学和牛津大学、美国耶鲁大学为代表的西方大学体系,历来就是以培养出色的精英人才而誉满全球,这些世界名校之所以能够引领世界大学的发展方向和研究前沿,是和它的精英教育模式紧密相连的。随着精英教育模式的形成和发展,精英教育的功能也发生了巨大的变化。和传统的精英教育为国家培养官僚学术人才的功能相比,在教育大众化背景下的精英教育的功能更多地关注了经济因素和社会的良性发展,西方的发展模式也证明了精英教育是西方大学的必然选择。Represented by Paris University, Cambridge University, Oxford University and Yale University, Western top universities have been world-renowned for elite education. The prestigious standings in the direction of world higher education development and the forefront research owe much to elite education mode. With the formation and development of elite education mode, the function has been greatly changed. Compared with the function of traditional elite education, which is to train elivil service staff, the elite education under the back- ground of popular higher education focuses more on economic factors and positive social development. The western development mode has justified that elite education is an inevitable choice the western universities have had to make.
