摘　　要：读了著名历史学家刘家和先生大作后,作者有所思有所想,写就属于学术通讯的论文。主要就黑格尔《历史哲学》关于历史本质的看法以及黑格尔对中国历史歪曲等问题,与刘先生作学术交流。在刘先生对黑格尔正确批评之外,作者提出为黑格尔辩护的另一面,并联系"现代性"问题,对自由作出比较深入的探讨。This article, namely my personal comments on the paper of Mr. Liu Jiahe, a famous historian, should be classified into the academic correspondence. It is my aim to communicate, academically, with Mr. Liu on Hegel＇s idea as to the essence of history in his Historical Philosophy and his misunderstanding of Chinese history as well. On the basis of the reasonable criticism on Hegel by Mr. Liu, I present my excuse for Hegel, and on this account I further probe into freedom by dealing with issues about “modernity”.
