摘　　要：改革开放以来,我国的民办高校在社会变革的浪潮中日益发展壮大并已初步形成了良好的发展格局。但与此同时,一些民办高校仍深陷并未能走出学校定位不准、教育资源不足、师资力量薄弱、内部管理失范等诸多困境。社会转型时期,民办高校必须直面自身存在的实际问题,并结合社会转型时期的时代要求,不断加快自身转型的步伐,以更好地适应和服务于我国经济建设和社会发展。Chinese private educational institutions have achieved a great progress since the reforms. At the same time, however, flaws reveal that certain institutions miss proper identification, besides insufficient resources, unsteady teaching staff, and irregulated internal management. Measures have been put forward for the private institutions to face the problems, adapt to the social change, and contribute utmost to the economic construction and social development.
