摘　　要：如果旅行可以用来说明各种类型的转换和变迁,那么包含语言转换和地理位移的翻译无疑就是最具代表性的旅行喻词。20世纪以来的文化研究对于旅行书写的兴趣,主要是从权力、话语、女性主义、族群理论和后殖民主义等视角解读具体的旅行叙事。这样的研究固然有意义,但如果能从旅行书写发展与嬗变的历史坐标出发考察其类似物——翻译与翻译者地位的形成与变迁,对于二者的认识毫无疑问可以进一步深化。Since travel could be used to explicate transformations and transitions of all sorts, translation, which presupposes not only spatial displacement but also transitions of both form and content, is, undoubtedly, the most common source of metaphors of travel. The cultural studies in the 20th century centers the travel writings mostly on the specific travels in terms of power, discourse, feminism, race and postcolonism, which, though instructive, could be more significant if the travel writings and its anologue, i. e. translation, could be researched from the historical point of view.
