摘　　要：中国古代的书院是结合了藏书、教学及学术研究的古代教育机构。书院以聚书研修、讲学授徒的教育形式,对中国古代社会生活和文化教育的发展有着广泛影响。到了元代,由于其广博的开放性和兼容性及思想文化领域的宽松环境,书院的建设和发展有了一个广阔的空间,取得了长足进步,为元代及中国古代文化教育事业的发展发挥了很大的促进作用。Colleges in ancient China were educational institutions integrating book collection, teaching, and academic research. The education form greatly affected the development of social life and culture in ancient China. In Yuan Dynasty, due to their openness, compatibility, and loose environment in the ideological and culture fields, colleges obtained a broad space in their construction and development, which considerably facilitated the development of cultural education of Yuan Dynasty and ancient China.
