摘　　要：《释名》的宗旨本在于阐述事物得名之由来,按刘熙的本意,释词是被释词的意义来源,它们并非意义完全相同、可以互训的词。但刘熙在解释事物得名之由来时,往往不得不直接或间接涉及到字义和词义的说解,这种说解就使释词和被释词之间产生了语义联系,为我们探索释词和被释词之间的词义关系提供了线索。Naming Explanation aims at explaining the naming origin of things. According to Liu Xi＇s original intention, explanation of words is the origin of the explained words, which does not mean they are identical, but they can explain one another. Liu Xi＇s explanations of the word origin makes the semantic connection between the explanation of words and the explained words, which offers us some clues on the semantic relation of words.
