摘　　要：对比近二十年中国与西方标点符号研究,发现国内语言学界对标点符号的研究还停留在规范化的阶段。西方的标点符号研究已经从描述性阶段进入解释性阶段,研究视角更为开阔,内容丰富多彩,论述深刻。本文将从以下六个方面:书写体系、语言学、计算语言学、认知科学、翻译学和应用语言学对西方的研究成果进行系统的梳理和总结。The paper presents a survey of the literature on punctuation.The examination of punctuation has been undertaken from multiple perspectives,including(1)orthographic system,(2)general linguistics,(2)computational linguistics,(3)translation,(4)cognitive science and(5)applied linguistics.The general trend shows a movement from descriptive to explanatory account.
