摘　　要：探讨了任务型教学的基本理念、设计原则及教学模式,以实践为基础,例举了任务型教学在大学英语精读课教学中的应用,说明了任务型教学中教师的作用及应注意的问题。The paper focuses on task-based instruction（ TBI）, analyzing its elementary concept, designing principles and implementing steps. Then a practical example is given to illustrate the application of TBI to English teaching in higher vocational colleges. The role of the teachers and some key issues in application is discussed next.
