摘　　要：2008年最炙手可热的网络词语非"山寨"莫属,从"山寨产品"到"山寨现象"再到"山寨文化",使得"山寨"的英译成为大家关注的焦点。文章从语境角度分析"山寨"的隐喻意义及其英译。The most popular internet slang in 2008 must be ＂shanzhai＂, which extends from ＂shanzhai products＂ to ＂shanzhai phenomenon＂ and ＂shanzhai culture＂. The translation of ＂shanzhai＂ becomes a top concern for translators. The author attempts to analyze the metaphorical meanings of ＂shanzhai＂ and its translation from the perspectives of context.
