摘　　要：大学理念是古今中外高等教育思想家们关注的主题，在当今高等教育界的理论与实践中已经成为热点问题。汪明义教授编著的《大学理念与实践》一书，从民办大学的视阁下漫谈大学理念，这是一本非常有理论价值和现实意义的高等教育研究专著。该书主要讨论“大学是什么、大学干什么、大学怎么干”等问题。全书旨在阐明：只有尊重“大学理念”的办学者，才能在实践中产生属于自己的治校方略；只有拥有大学理念的大学，才会拥有不断前行的力量。《大学理念与实践》对高校发展具有多方面的指导意义。University concept is a subject which was concerned about by many higher education thinkers, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign. In the theory and practice of today＇s higher education sector, it has become a hot issue. ＂ Concept and Practice of University＂ talks about university concept from the visual threshold of private universities, which is a higher education research monograph with brilliant theoretical value and strong practical significance. This book focuses on some problems like ＂What is the university, what does the university do, how to run the university＂. Only the school-runner who respect ＂university concept＂, can their own strategies of managing university be produced in practice ; only a university with the university concept, will the strength of going forward constantly be owned.
