摘　　要：设a和b是两个不同的实数,如果一个矩阵的元素为a或b,我们称这样的矩阵为(a,b),根据a、b的不同取值,分四种情形分析了秩2对称(a,b)矩阵的结构,给出了秩2对称(a,b)矩阵中元素a的可能个数。Let a,b be two distinct real numbers. If each entry of a matrix is either a or b,then we call it an （a,b） matrix. According to the four values of a and b ,we investigate the structure of rank 2 symmetric （a,b） matrices and determine the possible numbers of such matrices.
