摘  要:英语精读是英语专业基础阶段的一门主干课程,它词汇量大、体裁多样、融知识性与思想性于一体。尝试运用语境理论,结合现代大学英语精读第四册中"The Most Dangerous Game"一文,来探讨在英语精读教学中如何运用语境理论来改进教学,以此来提高教学效果。English Intensive Reading is a core subject in the elementary stage of English Specialty. It has a large vocabulary, contains passages of various writing styles and integrates knowledge and thought into a whole. Trying to use the context theory and com- bining with the passage of "The Most Dangerous Game" in the fourth volume of modem college English intensive reading, this paper discusses how to improve teaching and teaching effects by using the context theory in the English Intensive Reading.
