摘　　要：英语词汇中的哑音字母现象,长期以来一直从历史语言学的角度进行探讨,多数研究者认为它源自于语言的发展和变化。本文试图在音节结构框架内,从响度分布、重音划分、音位序列限制规则等共时的音系规则视角进行分析。文章认为英语词汇中的许多哑音现象是不同音系规则作用下的产物。The analysis of mutes has long been made from the perspective of historical linguistics. In previous studies, many scholars believe that mutes result from language development or historical change. Based on some phonological principles such as sonority scale, stress and phonotactics in terms of syllable structure, this paper tries to analyze mutes in English from synchronical perspective, and argues that mutes are a product of different phonological rules.
