摘　　要：给出了标题中所述文章的一个注记.首先否定了该文中的一个断语,其次指出了该文中的"新的判别法"的适用范围并没有超过Cauchy根值判别法.After reading an article entitled ＂A New Convergence Test for Series of Positive Terms＂ a note is given. First,in the note a conclusion of the article is completely denied. Second,the author points out that the root test is more ＂powerful＂ than the new test. That is,whenever the root test is inconclusive,so is the new test. But there is an example where the new test fails and the root test is conclusive. Therefore,the root test has wider scope.
