摘　　要：以计算机多媒体技术和网络技术为代表的现代信息技术,正以惊人的速度改变着人类的生存方式。现代信息技术在教育中的应用,给教育带来了前所未有的变化,如,网络学院的诞生、网络多媒体阅览室和网络图书馆的建立、虚拟课堂、虚拟实验室、多媒体课件在远程教育中的应用,都为终身教育提供了载体和可能,每个社会成员可以以多种形式和内容进行终身学习。同时这种学习也为教育信息化和信息技术的发展,带来了丰富地内涵。The modem information technology, including computer multimedia technology, network technology, etc, is changing the way of life of human beings with an amazing speed. This technology can bring about the change on a scale never before experienced for education, when it is applied to education field. Specifically, the emergence of online college, the establishment of network multimedia reading room and network library, and the application of virtual classroom, virtual lab and multimedia courseware in distance education provide the carrier and likelihood for the development of lifelong education such that every member of society may carry through lifelong learning in various forms and contents. Moreover, lifelong learning likewise produces abundant connotations for the development of educational information and information technology.
