摘　　要：本文认为,汉英词典文化特色词的处理不宜过多使用解释性释义,而是要遵守替换性优先、体现源语文化内涵、保持一致性和完整性以及多样性等原则,利用对应词、解释性释义、扩注、标注等多种方式为词目提供完整、全面、准确的信息。Culture-specific words have caused much trouble for Chinese-English dictionary makers.To make ideal definitions,the compiler should follow some principles,such as priority of substitutability,preservation of the cultural contents of the source language,and making unity,integrity and diversity of the definitions,and at the same time,avoid using excessive explanations but take various methods such as finding counterpart words,giving explanations,providing supplemental information by using bracketed labels.
