摘　　要：全球化背景下,传统的公民与公民教育理论受到文化的多样性和个人身份的复杂性的挑战,全球化进程与多元文化诉求之间形成强大的张力,使得人们必须重新审视公民资质和公民教育观。因此,美国著名学者詹姆斯.A.班克斯教授提出了变革公民教育的一系列主张。承认、理解和尊重群体差异性和文化权利是其公民资质观的主要观点。在包容、和谐的课堂环境中习得和构建起新的公民意识是其公民教育思想变革的精髓所在。Under the background of globalization,traditional theories of citizenship and citizenship education are challenged by cultural diversity and complication of individual identity.A great tension exists in globalization and multicultural request.The concepts of citizenship and citizenship education need to be reviewed.James A Banks,famous scholar from U.S.A,raised a series of opinions about transformative citizenship education consequently.Acceptance understanding and respect on diversity and cultural rights of different groups are main points of his thoughts of citizenship.It is soul of his transformative citizenship education to learn and build up citizenship consciousness in classroom with tolerant and harmonious atmosphere.
