摘　　要：《路得记》与《涌泉跃鲤》是两则在基督教和儒家传统中非常有影响的故事。本文拟从家庭生活中的婆媳关系为切入点,在对两个文本进行叙事与宗教伦理学解读的基础上,分析路得与姜诗妻这两个媳妇对婆婆情感中的爱与孝的差异与共同之处,并由此反思"爱"在基督教和儒家伦理中的意义、实践与功用,以及形成这些深刻差异的社会、文化与历史原因。＂Love＂is a rich and important element in Confucianist and Christian religions.This paper is concerned not what love is,but how love has been practiced by two ordinary women in ordinary family life.It is a comparative case study on two stories,Ruth and Yong Quan Yue Li,the former from the Bible,and the latter being one of The Twenty-Four Exemplars of Filial Piety,which has stood for centuries as the prime reference on filial piety and the core of Chinese Confucianism.Both stories deal with the relationship between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law,and both contain a high tribute to Ruth and Jiang Shi＇s wife for their love and piety to their mother-in-law.On the basis of a narrative analysis and ethic interpretation of Ruth and Jiang Shi＇s wife＇s stories,this paper tries to illustrate the differences between and similarities in their love＇s significance,practice and function in the ethics of the two religions and cultures they belong to.
