粤词官音--卫三畏《英华韵府历阶》的过渡性质

摘　　要：本文以卫三畏(Samuel Wells Williams)1844年在澳门出版的《英华韵府历阶》为例,探讨当时外国传教士编纂的汉英词典中出现的一些有趣的过渡现象——该书收入的字词,虽全部标以官音,但部分字词只在粤语或某些方言区通用;此外,在通用的汉语拼音系统出现之前,该书亦肩负起逐步建立起一套适用于各种中国方言的拉丁字母拼音系统的使命。Based on Ying Hwa Yun-fu Lih-Kiai by Samuel Wells Williams published in Macao in 1844,this paper discusses some interesting transitional phenomenon in the Chinese-English dictionaries compiled by foreign missionaries.Besides,before the Pinyin system was commonly used,Ying Hwa Yun-fu Lih-Kiai shouldered the task of setting up a Latin-letter Pinyin System that could be used by all kinds of Chinese dialects.
