语言学视角下的网络表情符号初探

摘　　要：网络表情符号的本质是具有表情语功能的网络辅助交际手段,相当于现实语言交际中的态势语。如果说现实中的交际是"有声语言+态势语言",网络交际中则是与此相对应的"文字序列+网络表情符号",其功能主要是用来表达交流双方的情感、态度、含意与调节虚拟语境的交际气氛。网络表情符号的生成与理解过程实际上就是语言的编码与解码过程。The internet emoticon is a supplementary online communicational means with expressives＇ functions in nature, sharing a similar status as situation language in real life communication. If real life communication can be defined as ＂sound language plus situation language＂, the online communication could be represented as ＂word sequencing plus internet emoticons＂ . The major functions of the latter are to convey feeling, attitude and implication, and regulate the atmosphere in the virtual world. The generation and comprehension of these emoticons are in fact a process of encoding and decoding.
