摘 要:鉴于大学生的听说能力相对薄弱和我国同国际交往日益频繁,本轮大学英语教学改革确定“培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力”的教学目标是合理的,但是这个目标具有阶段性和暂时性。随着我国中小学英语教学加大听说训练的力度和大学新生英语听说能力的逐渐提高,尤其是听的能力的提高,我国大学英语教学目标应适时再转移,大学英语教学应着力培养国家所需要的在科技领域与国际开展竞争的英语读写能力。Considering Chinese college students' relatively poor listening and speaking abilities and China's increasing contact with the rest of the world, it is rational that college English teaching aims to develop students' ability to use English in a well-rounded way, especially in listening and speaking. The objective, however, is transitional and temporary. As special emphasis is placed on the training of listening and speaking abilities in primary and high schools and college freshmen's communicative competence improves, the objective should be shifted to the development of students' ability to use English in international competition in science and technology.
