摘 要:为探讨教师如何利用大学英语课堂对学生课下新闻词汇习得进行引导和促进,以词汇附带学习理论为基础,以一类新闻词汇——新闻小词为例,对学生进行新闻词汇测试,并就结果进行定量和定性分析,对如何在课堂上进行新闻词汇附带教学提出一些建议。Comprehension of English news requires a good command of English news vocabulary that belongs to a category not much mentioned in English textbooks of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. But the acquisition of news vocabulary has many characteristics, which calls for not only students' efforts after class, but also teachers' instruction in college English classrooms. Guided by the theory of incidental vocabulary learning and based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of results from a news vocabulary quiz to students, this article explores ways to facilitate students' acquisition of short-syllable news vocabulary in teaching key words and expressions of "College English" textbooks.
