On the Contextual Differences between Chinese Orthographic Characters and Folk Characters——A Research Based on the Buddhist Sutra of Wei,Jin,and Southern and Northern Dynasties

摘  要:在具体梳理"■"、"■"、"(漂寸)"三个俗字意义的基础上,利用魏晋南北朝译经语料进一步比较其与相对应的正字"行"、"挽"、"漂"的语境差异后发现:俗字"■"、"(漂寸)"的义项与其正字"挽"、"漂"基本对应,"■"则只对应于"行"的名词性语义;在具体运用时,俗字的出现频率也远没有正字高,它们一般出现在相对单一的语境中。This paper studies on the contextual diferenceses between Chinese orthographic characters and folk characters based on the Buddhist sutra of Wei, Jin, and Southern and Northern Dynasties. After a detailed study on the three groups of Chinese characters, namely, hang (行/), wan (挽/[扌勉) ,piao (漂/), this paper finds that the meanings of " ,"" are basically corresponding to their orthographic counterparts "挽" ,"漂"; "" is only corresponding to "行" on the nominal sense level though; folk characters appear far less frequently than generally folk characters appear always in certain specific orthographic characters in actual usage, and contexts.
