摘　　要：黄门鼓吹既是东汉乐人、乐种之名,又是东汉乐署之名,但许多学者至今仅认可前说而否定后说,本文则认为二说均符合事实,皆能成立。另外,在东汉作为乐署之黄门鼓吹,其职能与地位除协律一事外,其余与西汉乐府大致相当。Huangmen Guchui can refer to palace bandsmen,a kind of musical genre,or even the name of the Music Bureau of the Eastern Han Dynasty.However,most of the scholars so far tend to acknowledge the former,that is,palace bandsmen or a kind of musical genre,and deny the latter,that is,the name of the Music Bureau.This paper is of the view that both are acceptable.In addition,as the music department of the Eastern Han Dynasty,the functions and status of the Huangmen Guchui are similar to Yuefu（Music Conservatory） of the Western Han Dynasty except Xielv（Xielu meant the creation and performance of music）.
