One of the important goals of education is to cultivate students' morality. Although many educators tried to explore ways to improve the efficiency of moral education, the effects were not satisfactory. Moral cognitive neuroscience, as a new rising discipline, investigates the neural networks of moral function and has found out that moral emotion and moral intuition play more important roles than traditional view of morality. And a new view of moral development based on neuroscience is also depicted. Recently, some educators have been trying to propose new methods of moral education based on these neuroscience findings. This new interdisciplinary field may provide theoretical implications and empirical evidence for moral education.
