目的论视角下的2010上海世博会外宣资料的英译

摘　　要：翻译目的论是德国功能学派的核心理论,主张目的决定手段,采取何种翻译策略应受译文的预期目的所制约。外宣资料的主要特性就在于它的宣传和传播性。因此,在翻译这种文体时,尤其要要体现它的特点,凸显其潜在的交际目的。本文从目的论的视角,结合实例分析,对《中国2010年上海世博会概览》的英译策略进行了较为详细的阐述。Skopostheorie,the core theory of German function school,claims that the end justifies the means.That is,the expected purpose of the translation determines the translation stretegy which is used.The main characteristics of Publicity are to propagate.Thus,in translating this style of writing,the primary purpose should embody its characteristics and show clearly its potential communicative purpose.The thesis analyses some examples taken from the book An Overview of the World Exposition Shanghai China 2010 on the perspective of Skopostheorie and gives some detailed explanations to its English translation stregeties.
