形容词handsome的搭配及语义韵——一项基于语料库的研究分析

摘　　要：以中国学习者英语语料库(CLEC)和英语国家语料库(BNC)的部分语料为基础,使用AntConc软件检索形容词handsome的索引行,并分析搭配及其语义韵倾向。指出了CLEC语料库中handsome一词只用来修饰男性,而在BNC语料库中,该词可以用来修饰女性。总体而言,handsome一词有较为积极语义韵。This paper employs the AntConc software to study the collocation and semantic prosody of handsome on the basis of Chinese Learner English Corpus（CLEC） and British National Corpus.The adjective handsome is used only to modify a male in CLEC while in BNC this paper finds that handsome can also be used to modify female.In general,the collocation shows that the adjective handsome has the positive semantic prosody.
