“原型范畴化”理论下英语介词“by”的空间隐喻拓展研究

摘　　要：介词"by"是以"空间"的原型语义为认知参照点,在"隐喻"的作用下,实现其语义从空间概念向其他非空间域映射而产生的引申义,即从空间域拓展到时间域、状态域、范围域、原因域、方式/工具域、态度域、比较域以及其他域。The semantic meaning of ＂by＂ develops gradually from the cognitive reference of spatial prototype to other non-spatial domains with the mapping of metaphor.The mapping extends from the domain of space to that of time,state,scope,reason,manner or instrument,attitude,comparison and other domains.
