摘　　要：双关语词是双关话语解读的认知焦点。双关语词意义识解是一个动态的心智加工过程。认知框架作为一种建立在知识和经验基础上的概念系统,是词义识解所必需的认知操作工具。在框架理论基础上,对双关语词意义识解的认知机制进行探讨,指出认知框架的激活是双关语词意义识解的关键。双关语词意义的识解主要是一个利用认知框架激活以及概念联想来完成的实时在线操作过程。双关语词双重意义的提取依赖于两个不同认知框架的先后激活。Hinges are the cognitive focus for puns＇ interpretations.Meaning construal of hinges is a dynamic mental processing.Cognitive frames,which constitute a conceptual system based on knowledge and experience,are cognitive tools necessary for the construal of lexical meanings.Drawing on frame theory,this paper attempts to probe into the cognitive mechanism for meaning construal of hinges.It is pointed out that frame activation is crucial to meaning construal of hinges.Meaning construal of hinges is an on-line cognitive operation which mainly involves the activation of cognitive frames and the association among concepts.Dual meanings of a hinge are retrieved respectively from different frames.
