翻译中的选择与顺应——从顺应论视角看鲁迅译介科学著述的选材及翻译策略

摘　　要：根据Jef Verschueren的顺应论,语言使用是语言使用者按照交际语境和交际对象不断作出语言选择的过程。同一切语言交际活动一样,翻译也是一种不断作出选择的过程。为了成功地实现翻译目的,译者要顺应具体的交际语境和交际对象,选择相应的文本和翻译策略。在顺应论的指导下,鲁迅译介域外科学小说的选材顺应了中国"科学救国"的交际语境,翻译策略的选择顺应了汉语世界读者的语言阅读习惯。According to Jef Verschueren＇s adaptation theory,language using is the process of continuous making of linguistic choices by the language users in light of the communicative context and the audience they face.Translation,like other types of verbal communication,is also a continuous choice-making process.The translator should adapt to the communicative context and the audience he or she faces and should choose the proper source texts and translation strategies accordingly in order to achieve the aim of translation.Under the guidance of adaptation theory,in LU Xun＇s translation of foreign science fiction his selection of source texts was geared to the communicative context of the Chinese ＂save the nation by science＂ and his choices of translation strategies were adapted to what reading habits the target language readers had.
