摘　　要：学前教育在国家学制系统中的地位、是否免费、是否纳入义务教育体系等方面共同构成了学前教育的基本属性。本文在考察美国、英国、法国、日本、韩国和印度等国家学前教育基本属性的基础上,初步梳理出世界主要国家学前教育属性的基本类别,以期为我国进一步明确学前教育的基本属性提供一定参考。The primary attribute of early childhood education depends on the following three key elements： the position of early childhood education in the institutionalized public education systems ,whether it is free of charge, and whether it is part of compulsory education. In order to help clarifying the primary attribute of early childhood education of our country, this paper provides systematic review and in-depth analysis of the primary at- tribute of early childhood education in both developed and underdeveloped countries （the USA, the UK, France, Japan, Korea, and India）. Based on this, the paper identifies the types of the primary attribute of early childhood education in other countries.
