摘  要:随着经济的发展及全球化时代的到来,传统的大学英语教学已无法满足时代的需要。成功的英语教学需要通过教师与学生间的语言沟通训练才能实现。这就需要英语教师在课堂上扮演不通的角色以期对课堂活动进行有效的组织、引导和参与,从而使学生的各方面能力得以提高。本文分析了目前大学英语教学模式中大学英语教师可能充当的多重角色及其作用。With the development of the economy and the coming of the era of globalization,the traditional college English teaching has failed to meet the needs of the times.It's generally agreed that good teaching is good communication between teacher and students and also among students and the best efficiency in class comes from effective cooperation between the teacher and the students.Therefore,teacher's role as an organizer or a director in the class is as necessary as his or her role of a designer or a participant in student's activity.This paper focuses on the analysis of the possible multiple roles and the functions in the current model of college English teaching.
