摘　　要：汉语有灵句和英语无灵句是汉英两种语言常见的典型句型。本文从思维方式和句法功能差异分析了汉语有灵句和英语无灵句的成因。Chinese animate sentences （CAS） and English inanimate sentences （EIS） are two kinds of typical sentence pattern in both Chinese and English languages. This paper is to analyze the main causes of two different sentence patterns （CAS and EIS） through a contrast of mental modes and sentences structures.
