动态范畴化视角下的英语专有名词词义泛化分析

摘　　要：专有名词作为一种具有特殊指称功能的词汇,其词义在演变过程中已逐渐普通化。以原型范畴理论为基础,结合范畴化与非范畴化理论框架,提出从动态范畴化视角分析专有名词词义泛化过程,并指出转喻认知机制是贯穿整个范畴化过程的内在运作机制。Proper nouns are words referring to particular entity,the meanings of which have gradually commonized nowadays.Based on the prototype theory and the framework of categorization and non-categorization theories,the commonization of proper nouns is studied from the dynamic categorization perspective.It is further pointed out that metonymic mechanism is the inner operational mechanism that motivates the whole categorizational process.
