摘　　要：英文医学研究性论文是医学工作者进行学术交流的重要媒介。本研究以Halliday的系统功能语言学为理论框架,统计并分析了5篇英文医学研究性论文中情态化表达的量值选择和影响量值选择的因素。结果表明,中值和低值是英文医学研究性论文作者表达情态化的主要选择,高值的使用频率很低。分析发现医学研究性论文作者在医学研究性论文写作中选择情态化量值时受到认知程度、礼貌策略和权位因素的影响。The English-medium medical research article is a very important medium through which medical workers conduct academic exchange. Based on Halliday＇ s theory of systemic functional linguistics, our study analyzed the choice of the value of modalization in five English-medium medical research articles and the possible factors that may affect the choice. The results show that in expressing modalization, the median value and the low value are the main choices made by medical research article writers and the high value constitutes a low frequency. Cognitive level, politeness and power are the factors that affect medical writers＇ choice of the value of modalization.
